Wildcard have successfully navigated their Group B elimination match after staging an impressive comeback against EYEBALLERS. The North American team secured a 2-1 victory, keeping their tournament hopes alive and earning a decider match against Nemesis.
The series began poorly for Wildcard on their map pick, Nuke. They struggled to find momentum against Jesper "JW" Wecksell's strong performance, managing only four rounds on their opening half. The second half brought minimal improvement, with Wildcard adding just two more rounds to finish with a disappointing six-round total.
Mirage delivered intense back-and-forth action as both teams traded leads throughout the map. The final five regulation rounds saw control swing between the squads. The match pushed into overtime, where Wildcard found their rhythm and rattled off four consecutive rounds. Ethan 'reck' Serrano sealed the 16-13 map victory with a crucial four-kill round, evening the series at one map apiece. Miłosz "mhL" Knasiak also delivered a memorable moment with a clutch 1v3 ace in round 20.
Cache witnessed a dramatic turnaround. Wildcard's defensive side proved unstoppable, racing to a perfect 12-0 lead without dropping a single round. EYEBALLERS managed to claim four rounds after the side switch, but it wasn't nearly enough. Jadan "HexT" Postma put the final nail in the coffin with a decisive three-kill round to complete the comeback.
Wildcard now prepare to face Nemesis in their next challenge.
