The fifth day of the North American Closed Qualifier for StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 concluded with dramatic results as only two matches remain before one team secures their spot at the European LAN event.
In the upper bracket final, Voca staged a remarkable comeback against tournament favorites NRG. After a brutal 13-1 defeat on Cache where NRG's CT-side defense proved impenetrable with an 11-1 half, Voca regrouped for their opponent's map pick. On Nuke, they mounted a strong defensive showing of their own, building a 9-3 advantage before closing out the map 13-5 despite NRG winning the second pistol round.
The deciding map Ancient saw Voca dominate early with a 6-0 opening streak. Though NRG mounted a response, Voca maintained control with an 8-4 halftime lead. NRG claimed the second pistol and kept things competitive, but Voca ultimately secured the series with a 13-8 victory.
The elimination match featured SportsBetExpert seeking redemption against Marsborne following their earlier loss at FRAG TAP Reloaded. On SBE's Nuke selection, they executed a polished T-side attack to establish an 8-4 lead despite losing the opening pistol. After winning the second pistol, they held firm to close out 13-6.
Marsborne's Anubis pick offered no reprieve as SportsBetExpert dominated every opening engagement and won three clutch situations to lead 8-4 at halftime. A flawless CT-side performance after the second pistol resulted in a 13-4 finish, eliminating Marsborne from contention.
The qualifier concludes tonight with SportsBetExpert facing NRG at 6:00 PM, followed by a best-of-five grand final against Voca at 8:30 PM to determine which team advances to StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026.
