Two North American rosters have officially secured their participation in the FiReSPORTS LAST CHANCE tournament, becoming the first teams from their region to confirm attendance. The Argentine LAN event carries a prize pool of $75,000 and is scheduled to take place from October 29th through November 1st.
These squads join nine previously confirmed participants in what promises to be a critical competition. The tournament's name reflects its significance, as it represents one of the final opportunities for teams worldwide to accumulate VRS points necessary for securing a berth at the PGL Major Singapore.
Both North American organizations face challenging odds in their Major qualification journey. According to data from MischiefCS published on September 18th, each team currently holds just a 2.9% probability of advancing to Singapore. While competing in this additional LAN event improves their chances, they'll need exceptional performances as rival squads will also be accumulating points at various tournaments before the Major invitation cutoff.
The two teams share similar competition schedules, with both set to compete at ROG Journey Autumn alongside this Argentine event. However, one roster has an additional advantage with iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026 on their calendar, providing extra VRS earning potential in the Major race.
The appearance of these North American teams in South America is particularly noteworthy, as such participation remains relatively rare. Last season, Marsborne traveled to the region for multiple LAN tournaments, creating an entertaining storyline despite ultimately falling short of IEM Cologne 2026 qualification.
