Team Vitality's flagship V.Hive facility in Paris has been struck by vandals amid ongoing protests sweeping through the French capital. The incident occurred during broader demonstrations focused on educational reforms and rising living costs across France.
Social media footage reveals extensive damage to the esports organization's headquarters, including shattered windows and gaming chairs set ablaze. According to reports circulating online, the team's StarLadder StarSeries trophy may have been taken during the vandalism.
Vitality's CEO addressed the incident on X, expressing deep sadness while maintaining support for peaceful protest. He emphasized his lifelong commitment to defending demonstration rights and thanked those standing up for their beliefs, but drew a clear line against destructive actions. He stated that looting and vandalism have no place in legitimate movements for change.
The facility manager confirmed via social media that no injuries occurred, noting the building was closed to both staff and visitors when the vandalism took place.
This incident unfolds against France's current wave of civil unrest, particularly student-led protests targeting inadequate staffing and deteriorating conditions in lycées—secondary schools serving teenagers aged 15 to 18. The demonstrations have grown in recent weeks as frustrations over educational standards and economic pressures continue mounting.
