Ninjas in Pyjamas have captured their third trophy in as many weeks by claiming victory at Stake Pulse Beat III, significantly boosting their chances of attending the Singapore Major to an impressive 97.0% according to current projections.
In a post-tournament interview conducted in Sweden, NIP coach Richard Landström expressed immense satisfaction with his squad's recent performances. While acknowledging the team isn't playing flawless Counter-Strike yet, he emphasized their exceptional mental fortitude throughout recent competitions.
"We're displaying tremendous resilience across every tournament we enter," Landström stated. He noted that additional practice sessions would help them compete more effectively against top-tier opponents, referencing their Thunderpick showing where losses to powerhouses like Falcons and Aurora highlighted areas for improvement.
The coach specifically praised recent additions Adam Ångström and Karim Moussa, highlighting how the former has strengthened their Cache gameplay since joining. Regarding Moussa's transition to the in-game leader role, Landström commended his straightforward communication style and natural leadership qualities developed during his time with BIG and BIG Academy.
NIP's grueling travel schedule has tested the roster's endurance, including one particularly demanding stretch involving late-night flights from Malta and early morning matches. Despite these challenges, Landström emphasized that the players remained focused and complaint-free.
Looking ahead, the coach reflected on how dramatically circumstances have changed. After struggling through online qualifiers and disappointing LAN performances just months ago, the team has transformed both their in-game chemistry and results. With the Singapore Major now within reach following their Cologne absence, Landström expressed pride in the squad's dedication and work ethic during this demanding period.
