NEXVOID stun FlyQuest with comeback victory at DFRAG Logitech G Pro Series

NEXVOID claimed the DFRAG Logitech Pro Series championship after staging a remarkable comeback against FlyQuest in the grand final, defeating the Australian squad on their home turf despite an earlier upper bracket loss.

The Mongolian roster, guided by Erdenetsogt "erkaSt" Gantulga—a former Grayhound player and ex-FlyQuest coach—keeps their Major qualification dreams alive with this triumph. The victory adds 150 VRS points to their tally of 1146, bringing them within just five points of seventh-placed Lynn Vision. Despite the win, their qualification probability stands at only 16 percent according to predictions, though this marks a significant jump from the 4 percent chance they held before the Brisbane tournament.

Both teams entered the event as top contenders, with FlyQuest being the clear favorite. They had previously defeated NEXVOID 2-1 in the upper bracket final, closing out Inferno 13-11. The grand final rematch saw each side claim their map pick—NEXVOID took Ancient 13-7 while FlyQuest secured Dust2 13-6—setting up a decisive Inferno showdown.

FlyQuest appeared destined for victory after building a commanding 9-3 lead at halftime. However, NEXVOID mounted an incredible defensive stand, capturing 10 of the final 12 rounds to complete the comeback and secure the title.

ErkaSt, who spent most of a decade playing and coaching in Australia including a stint with FlyQuest earlier this year, proved pivotal in defeating his former organization. He topped the grand final scoreboard with an impressive 1.52 rating.

Both squads will face off again at the DFRAG Invitational in Brisbane from October 26 through November 1, the final tournament before Major qualification cutoff.
