Aurora defeated Falcons in the Thunderpick World Championship bronze medal match, claiming their second straight podium finish after ESL Pro League. This victory allowed them to leapfrog Falcons in the VRS rankings, significantly improving their chances for a Stage 3 invite to the PGL Major.

Falcons remain in a solid position despite the loss, holding an 88.3% probability for a Stage 3 invite according to prediction models. However, BETBOOM lurks in seventh place, just 120 points behind, with a grand final appearance against FURIA still ahead of them.

The match opened on Anubis, Aurora's map selection replacing their usual Mirage pick. The gamble failed as Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov powered Falcons to nine attacking rounds with a 2.04 rating. Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin then took over on defense, swinging the momentum by 9.74% as Falcons closed out the map 13-8.

Dust2 looked promising for Falcons initially, especially after their 13-10 victory on this map in their previous meeting during ESL Pro League group stage. Aurora grabbed eight CT rounds in the first half as m0NESY struggled offensively. Despite Falcons mounting a comeback from 7-11 and surviving three match points to force overtime, Aurora prevailed 19-17 behind Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo's exceptional 1.65 rating performance.

The decider on Nuke remained tight throughout, with Falcons holding a narrow 7-5 halftime advantage. After the sides equalized at 9-9, Aurora found their rhythm on defense. Özgür "woxic" Eker dominated with his AWP, posting a 2.01 rating and 138.5 ADR on the CT side as Aurora secured four consecutive rounds for a 13-9 victory and the third-place finish.
