The most notable shift sees Vitality slip to fifth place globally, ending their remarkable two-year streak in the top four that dated back to August 2024. While this represents a decline in their standing, the French organization remains comfortably positioned to receive direct invites to all major competitions.
The timing of this update carries substantial weight, as several premier tournaments with prize pools exceeding one million dollars will base their invitation decisions on these rankings. FISSURE Playground 3, ESL Pro League Season 24, Thunderpick World Championship, and IEM Beijing are among the headline events utilizing this update for their invite distribution.
FISSURE Playground 3 leads the schedule from September 7-13, offering 15 global spots directly to the main event. Logitech G Play Connect follows later in September with a more complex structure, distributing 10 main event slots alongside spots for their qualifier stages.
The fall calendar intensifies in October with both Stake Ranked Episode 4 and ESL Pro League Season 24 running simultaneously in early October. ESL Pro League offers the most substantial opportunity with 12 global main event invites and an additional 12 spots to their closed qualifier, plus four dedicated Asia qualifier positions.
Thunderpick World Championship and IEM Beijing round out the schedule, each providing pathways through both direct invites and regional qualifiers.
