Team Vitality's Chief Executive Officer Fabien 'Neo' Devide has disclosed that negotiations regarding a contract extension with their CS2 roster captain Dan 'apEX' Madesclaire have yet to reach a conclusion. He shared this information during an interview with Pley.gg portal.
The French in-game leader joined Team Vitality back in fall 2018. During his tenure with the organization, the squad has secured numerous prestigious LAN tournament victories, including three major championships. Their collaboration has proven highly successful over the years.
At the recent IEM Cologne Major 2026, the roster finished in 5th-8th place. Vitality's tournament run ended in the quarterfinals where they fell to Team Falcons, who went on to claim the championship title. Despite this setback, apEX remains a central figure in the team's competitive structure.
The ongoing contract discussions highlight the organization's commitment to retaining their veteran leader, though no timeline has been provided for when negotiations might conclude. The extended talks suggest both parties are working to find mutually beneficial terms for continuing their partnership.
