Valve and publisher NEXON have revealed plans to discontinue support for the Counter-Strike Nexon shooter. The announcement was made through a blog post on the game's Steam page.
Starting June 24th, Counter-Strike Nexon will cease all sales of in-game items and add-ons. Players will still have the opportunity to spend their remaining premium currency before the final shutdown. The complete server shutdown and closure of the shooter's social media channels is scheduled for September 2026, though an exact date has not been confirmed yet.
Counter-Strike Nexon represents a version of Counter-Strike Online that was jointly developed by Valve and NEXON. The multiplayer game was initially available exclusively in China before launching for Western markets in 2014.
