Valve unveiled its monthly Regional Standings refresh this Monday, bringing notable changes to the competitive landscape.
Spirit maintains its grip on the top position, but Legacy's impressive FISSURE Playground 3 championship propelled them into the second spot. G2 climbed back into the top five bracket following a strong performance throughout the month, while Astralis rejoined the top 10 rankings for the first time since June.
These October standings carry significant weight as they determine which teams receive direct invitations to two major tier-one tournaments. BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 2, scheduled for November 9-15, will distribute eight global slots to its main event. Meanwhile, PGL Bucharest 2027, taking place January 17-24, will allocate fourteen global main event spots plus six European positions for the closed qualifier.
The ranking system continues to serve as the primary metric for tournament organizers when selecting participants for premium Counter-Strike competitions. Teams that secured strong placements throughout October now find themselves in favorable positions heading into the year's final stretch.
