In a separate announcement, Jeff LaFave revealed he is stepping away from his coaching position with the squad. LaFave had been working with the Unreal Nightmare core for an extended period but stated he will be taking an indefinite break from coaching duties.
The roster changes leave Unreal Nightmare searching for both a new player and coach as they prepare for ESEA Advanced Season 59. Brock Chase, the team's primary AWPer, has assumed in-game leading responsibilities previously held by Brooks.
Brooks may still compete in tonight's ESEA Advanced playoffs lower bracket matchup against Celestial, though he confirmed this would be his final appearance with the team regardless of the outcome.
The current Unreal Nightmare lineup features Brock Chase, Simon Taylor, Jake Jennison, and Ryan Watts as active members, with Brooks now listed as inactive.
