TYLOO have claimed their place at IEM Beijing 2026 following an unfortunate forfeit by FlyQuest in the grand final. The Australian squad was unable to compete due to severe connectivity issues caused by physical infrastructure damage.
FlyQuest announced the news on social media, explaining that damaged physical connections between Australia and Singapore resulted in unplayable ping levels exceeding 200 milliseconds. The venue's multiple backup internet service providers couldn't resolve the issue, as all Australian traffic to Asia was affected. With TYLOO scheduled to attend FISSURE the following day, rescheduling wasn't possible.
This marked the second consecutive forfeit victory for TYLOO in the qualifier. Earlier, they advanced through the upper bracket final when Rare Atom withdrew due to a scheduling clash with the FPG 3 qualifier.
Before these walkovers, TYLOO earned their progression legitimately by defeating Kaleido and DEPO in the initial closed qualifier rounds.
With TYLOO's qualification confirmed, 14 of 16 teams for the Chinese event are now locked in. The final two spots will be determined through the European online Closed Qualifier currently underway.
