Speaking with HLTV before the BLAST Bounty finals in Malta, the 26-year-old Canadian made clear his intentions regarding the captaincy role. He emphasized that regardless of his position within the squad, he approaches it with a long-term mindset, aiming to discover and embody the best version of himself in that capacity.
FaZe has shown notable progress since bringing Jason 'JBOEN' Boe Nielsen on board during the summer transfer period. The team secured a semi-final placement at XSE Pro League and earned qualification to the Malta finals by winning twice during BLAST Bounty's online stage. They've successfully reached playoffs in both events they've attended this season.
The squad has particularly dominated on Cache, winning all four matches on the map without allowing opponents to reach double-digit rounds. Twistzz credited this success to the team's collective effort in studying the map when it returned to the competitive pool, with everyone contributing ideas for their respective positions.
Regarding Ryan 'Neityu' Aubry, who has been with the roster as a stand-in for nearly three months without official long-term confirmation, Twistzz deflected questions to management. He noted that contractual matters are being handled between the organization and the player's agency, while emphasizing the team enjoys competing with him.
Twistzz also praised his working relationship with coach Niclas 'enkay J' Krumhorn, highlighting their frequent discussions about game strategy and the coach's insightful, productive approach to communication.
