MOUZ's star AWPer Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás has opened up about the team's evolution following significant roster and structural changes. With Dorian "xertioN" Berman stepping into the in-game leader role and young talents Adrian "xelex" Vincze and Oldřich "PR" Nový joining the squad, the German organization is seeing encouraging results.
The Hungarian sharpshooter has posted an impressive 1.16 rating over the last three months, attributing his strong performance to how xertioN and coach Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen have structured the team around his strengths. The sniper explained that AWPing in CS2 differs significantly from CS:GO due to peeker's advantage, making aggressive plays more challenging.
According to the player, AWP effectiveness heavily depends on team structure and role definition. He noted that on certain maps like Inferno and Ancient T-sides, rifles often prove more valuable than the AWP. However, when the AWP is utilized, proper setup for entry kills becomes crucial.
Regarding the new additions, torzsi expressed particular pride in fellow Hungarian xelex breaking into tier-one competition. He praised the youngster's work ethic and noted that xertioN is actively developing his identity through demo analysis. Meanwhile, PR is transitioning from his carry role at GamerLegion into more of a support position, excelling in clutch situations and late-round scenarios.
The restructured MOUZ has reached two grand finals recently, claiming victory at one, plus a quarterfinal appearance. While acknowledging their loss to FUT at EWC revealed some weaknesses, torzsi views these growing pains positively. He believes this lineup has potential to match or exceed their 2025 form when they consistently ranked second or third globally, with the added possibility of taking that next competitive step forward.
