HLTV recently revealed which players will no longer qualify for their Prospects list ahead of the August edition. Players can lose eligibility for various reasons: exceeding the age limit of 20, accumulating too many maps with top-ranked teams, or surpassing career map thresholds.
Three North American talents have reached their 21st birthday between recent Majors, ending their prospects eligibility. Adam "Grizz" Golden, Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell, and Maks "laxiee" Andryei join Mason "Lake" Sanderson as North America's only graduates from the program so far.
These three departing players combined for fifteen list appearances, creating a significant vacancy. HLTV typically features at least two NA representatives on each edition, so speculation naturally turns to who might claim those positions. Eligible candidates must be under 21 with documented competitive matches.
The Marsborne roster presents two obvious candidates. Rifler Chance "WUMBO" Boyer has consistently ranked between #48-#50 from April through July, while AWPer Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula debuted at #49 in July's rankings.
Both players have logged significantly more HLTV-recorded maps than any other North American prospect under 21. Each maintains ratings above 1.10 across at least 90 maps in 2026. Marsborne's top-ten position in the NA VRS ensures continued exposure and development opportunities.
A less certain contender is Max "Maxuel" Barutt, younger sibling of M80's Josh "JBa" Barutt. The rifler recently joined DETONATE and has posted impressive numbers: a 1.12 rating with 0.72 kills per round over 22 maps this year. His standout showing came during NSTLGA League Season 1 with Festina Lente, where he maintained a 1.13 rating across 10 maps en route to third place.
Despite strong statistics, Maxuel faces obstacles. DETONATE sits outside the NA VRS top 20 for August, and his map count trails far behind the Marsborne duo. While DETONATE has registered for notable upcoming events, establishing a stronger competitive footprint will take time.
The prospects landscape shifts quickly, leaving room for unexpected breakout performances. These three names represent the strongest current candidates, though the final roster remains to be seen when HLTV publishes their next edition.
