Team Spirit arrived at BLAST Open Porto 2026 as clear tournament favorites, and they lived up to expectations by claiming the championship trophy. Their journey culminated in a convincing grand finals victory over MOUZ at the Super Bock Arena.
The matchup carried extra significance, as MOUZ had previously prevented Spirit from winning the BLAST Bounty Summer title. This time, however, donk and his teammates left no room for doubt, thoroughly outplaying their opponents to secure consecutive trophies.
Following their EWC triumph, Spirit entered Porto with high expectations. They sailed through the group stage undefeated, defeating DENDELE CS, FURIA, and G2 without dropping a single map. Their dominance was emphatic—opponents managed double-digit rounds only once across three best-of-three series.
The semifinals brought a satisfying moment of revenge against Team Falcons, who had eliminated Spirit from the Cologne Major. Spirit dismantled Falcons on the opening map and closed the series 2-0, setting up another redemption opportunity against MOUZ.
The grand finals showcased Spirit's resilience and firepower. After recovering from a four-round deficit on their map pick, they dominated the CT side to take the first map 13-8. Mirage followed a similar pattern defensively, though their T-side struggles allowed MOUZ to equalize at 13-11.
Spirit's response was ruthless. They completely outclassed MOUZ on Ancient and Nuke, sealing a 3-1 series victory and their second seasonal trophy.
With Team Vitality struggling and Team Falcons failing to maintain their Major momentum, Spirit now stand as overwhelming favorites heading into future tournaments. Their cohesive play mirrors their form from Astana and the Major, positioning them as the team to beat at the upcoming Singapore Major.
