Team Liquid has officially announced the benching of Polish AWPer Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak, bringing his two-year tenure with the North American organization to a close. The move signals an incoming roster change as the team looks to revamp their primary sniper position.
The 22-year-old joined Liquid in July 2024 and went on to compete in 331 maps with the team, maintaining a 1.02 rating throughout his time. Despite his consistent individual performance, ultimate was unable to help the struggling roster break through to elite tournament victories.
During his time wearing the Liquid jersey, the Polish rifler's best results came with third-place finishes at both CS Asia Championships 2025 and Birch Cup 2025. Trophy success remained elusive for the squad despite multiple attempts.
ultimate's Major tournament journey with Liquid included four appearances, with his strongest showing coming at the PW Major in Shanghai where the team reached the quarter-finals. His Major run concluded with progressively earlier exits: two Stage 3 eliminations in Austin and Budapest, followed by a Stage 1 departure at IEM Cologne.
The current Liquid roster now features Keith "NAF" Markovic, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa, and Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek under coach Viktor "flashie" Tamás Bea, with ultimate transitioning to the inactive roster.
