Imperial have officially welcomed Marcos "tacitus" Castilho as their new head coach, filling the position that became available following Rafael "zakk" Fernandes's exit in mid-June.
The 26-year-old tactician has been out of the professional scene since February, when Fluxo decided to part ways with him after nearly two years of collaboration. His former position at Fluxo was subsequently filled by Gustavo "Juve" Alexandre, recognized for his previous work with Into the Breach.
Imperial's season began on a high note under Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco, securing victories in their opening two competitions: CCT 2026 South America Series 3 and Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2.
Recent performances, however, have shown a decline. The squad placed second behind Fluxo at BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 4, suffered elimination from BESTIA Academy in the Round of 16 at CCT 2026 South America Series 4, and managed only a 5th-6th finish in the South American closed qualifier for StarLadder StarSeries Fall.
The current Imperial lineup features Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes, Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo, Lucas "decenty" Bacelar, Kaiky "noway" Santos, and Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco, with tacitus now leading as coach. Guilherme "levi" Gustavo and Felipe "skullz" Medeiros remain on the bench.
