Legendary streamer Jaryd "summit1g" Lazar is back in the competitive Counter-Strike scene, joining forces with team D1NK for their campaign in SOFLO Slam 2.
The nearly 40-year-old content creator announced his competitive return through a video released on July 13th. In the announcement, he revealed his intention to rejoin the competitive grind by applying to FACEIT teams, expressing his desire to participate in ESEA Season 58.
Summit's new home is D1NK, a squad currently performing strongly with a 5-1 record in North America's Intermediate Division, holding the fifth position in the standings. This marks summit1g's first competitive appearance since ESEA Main Season 46, making it a significant comeback for the veteran player.
The team is currently competing in the SOFLO Slam tournament, which features a $1,280 prize pool. At the time of reporting, D1NK was matched up against House Platypus ESC in the ongoing bracket.
