Jake "Stewie2K" Yip's team has achieved a significant milestone by entering the Top 100 of the global VRS rankings following their victory against LAG in CROSSFIRE Season 6.
The triumph against LAG advances the North American veterans to the consolidation final of CROSSFIRE S6, positioning them just one victory away from reaching the grand finals. If Without a Roof manages to overcome Overtake Sector tonight, they would secure their third consecutive grand final appearance after NSTLGA Season 2 and ESEA S58 NA Finals.
The team has been demonstrating exceptional form recently, stringing together seven consecutive victories. This impressive run has propelled them into both the global VRS Top 100 and the Americas VRS Top 20. Although climbing to ninth place in the Americas rankings to qualify for the PGL Singapore Major remains out of reach, maintaining their current trajectory could position them favorably for the FiRe Major 2027 in Buenos Aires.
To improve their Major qualification prospects, Without a Roof must accumulate LAN victories, which carry the most significant weight in the VRS system. This may require international travel, similar to what SportsBetExpert and Voca have undertaken. Currently, the squad has only two LAN victories recorded: wins over Wanted Goons and SportsBetExpert at FRAG Midwest: St. Louis.
Their next opportunity to earn crucial LAN points arrives at FRAG University, where they'll face top Americas teams including NRG and DENDELE. Without a Roof's FRAG University run commences on October 9th.
