He pointed to his own calling as a key issue, relying too heavily on set plays rather than trusting the team's fundamental strategies. Communication breakdowns, like accidentally smoking off CeRq during critical rounds, snowballed into momentum swings that proved costly.
Despite the setback, Stewie remains confident in his roster's potential. He emphasized that elite skills don't vanish overnight, but returning to form requires repetition, chemistry building, and solid preparation. The firepower alone won't carry them at tier-one competition.
Reflecting on his Evil Geniuses tenure, Stewie explained how he's evolved as a leader. Back then, he pushed his vision too rigidly without accounting for teammates' comfort and input. Now he understands that great teams succeed through collective decision-making, not one-dimensional leadership. He's learned to value each player's perspective and ensure everyone feels comfortable executing strategies under pressure.
Regarding CeRq's increased vocal presence, Stewie clarified that flexibility matters, but players must also speak up. The best teams throughout his career succeeded because multiple voices contributed to the game plan, not just the IGL.
On timeline expectations, Stewie made clear there's no expiration date. The roster recognizes they're starting a fresh chapter after extended breaks from competition. Placing third at this LAN provides a baseline for improvement. The hunger remains strong across the entire lineup, fueled by both the joy of winning and the pain of losing.
Looking ahead, Without a Roof plans to compete full-time, attending LANs to earn VRS points and grinding online tournaments. Like everyone else, they're chasing a Major spot while working to reclaim the heights they once reached in their careers.
