SportsBetExpert owner contemplates exiting CS2 competitive scene after Major qualification failure

The future of SportsBetExpert in Counter-Strike 2 hangs in the balance as owner Peter Anadio publicly considers abandoning the competitive scene. Late yesterday, Anadio posted on the team's social channels that he's seriously contemplating an exit from CS2 after his squad's latest tournament results eliminated any chance of attending the PGL Singapore Major.

The North American roster's downward spiral started at ROG JOURNEY Autumn 2026, their debut international competition, where they crashed out during the group stage. Everything depended on a strong showing at FRAG University to keep their Major dreams alive. When the team could only manage a 5th-6th place finish, Anadio immediately canceled their scheduled trip to FiReSPORTS LAST CHANCE in Argentina.

The decision to cut back on LAN appearances coincides with mounting criticism of Anadio's conduct within the community. His controversial statements about Austin Meadows and Erik Flom's tournament events have generated significant backlash. Combined with his vocal anti-LGBT positions and habit of blocking critics on social media, the owner has alienated much of the Counter-Strike fanbase.

With qualification for the Major now impossible and community relations deteriorating rapidly, SportsBetExpert's time in competitive Counter-Strike may be coming to an abrupt end. The organization's controversial run in the scene could soon be nothing more than history.
