Spirit booked their place in the BLAST Open Porto grand final by defeating Falcons 2-0, taking Nuke 13-8 and Ancient 13-11. This marks their third consecutive final since coming back from the summer break.
The Russian roster continues their impressive run following a runner-up finish at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Finals in Malta, where they fell to MOUZ, and a title win at the Esports World Cup in Paris.
The semifinal began on Falcons' map pick Nuke, but Spirit dominated the CT side from the start. After securing the pistol round, Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov delivered a triple kill in round three to maintain momentum, and they converted a 2v3 situation in round seven to stay perfect. Finn "karrigan" Andersen finally put Falcons on the board with a 1v2 clutch in the final round of the half.
Following the side swap, Falcons mounted a strong comeback with seven consecutive rounds to close the gap to 11-8, but Spirit recovered to take the remaining two rounds and claim the map.
On Ancient, Spirit's traditionally strong map, Falcons struck first to grab an early advantage. Clever utility usage from sh1ro, including a double molotov kill in Mid, brought Spirit into the game. Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov then swung a 2v2 with grenades to help Falcons lead 6-3.
Spirit captured the half's final three rounds, with Danil "donk" Kryshkovets earning a USP triple on B site to give his team their first lead. Though Spirit maintained control, Falcons fought back with several heroic plays, including a low-buy B execute, a quick MAC-10 double from karrigan, and a 1v2 clutch by René "TeSeS" Madsen, pushing the game to round 24.
The deciding moment came when m0NESY found himself in a 1v4 as Falcons executed an A pinch. He eliminated one defender with his AWP, dropped another with the Desert Eagle, planted the bomb, then picked off a third rushing from Donut. In the final 1v1, m0NESY spotted Boris "magixx" Vorobiev in Donut and scoped in, but Spirit's captain eliminated the AWPer first, extending their Ancient win streak to 14 maps and sealing the 2-0 series victory.
