Following MOUZ's hard-fought semifinal victory over Astralis, Israeli rifler Lotan Giladi shared his thoughts on the team's performance and his evolving role within the squad.
Despite requiring eight match points to secure the win, Giladi maintains a positive outlook on their tournament run in Malta. The team has reached their first grand final with coach Oldřich Nový, marking a significant milestone for the new lineup.
Regarding his recent shift to more passive positions, Giladi acknowledged the adjustment hasn't been straightforward. During their Dust2 T-side performance, he spent 12 rounds with minimal action before contributing crucial plays later in the game. He admitted that maintaining focus and communication during these quiet periods presents challenges for any player.
When asked about potentially returning to more active roles, the rifler emphasized prioritizing team needs over personal preferences. While acknowledging that every player wants to be actively engaged and fragging out, he stressed that team success must come first.
The Israeli star also addressed his recent form, suggesting that improved individual performance could positively impact team results. However, he noted that when teammates are executing well and securing kills, sometimes having fewer frags while winning rounds is perfectly acceptable.
Looking ahead to the grand final against Spirit, Giladi expressed confidence in his team's ability to compete with anyone in the current Counter-Strike landscape. He highlighted the valuable experience this final represents for newer roster members and mentioned seeking revenge against Spirit, who have defeated MOUZ multiple times over the past year.
