Despite reaching the semifinals, sidde expressed deep frustration with the performance. The squad suffered a semifinal loss to FUT after failing to close out a critical 5v3 situation while leading 10-7 on the deciding map, then fell to Legacy in the third-place match. "Rationally, my assessment is positive; emotionally, it's really bad," the coach admitted, emphasizing that what fans witnessed wasn't the true FURIA.
The Brazilian organization faces significant roster decisions as the year winds down. Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis has assumed in-game leading duties on Ancient, Anubis, and Cache—maps where FalleN encountered difficulties. The Latvian's natural leadership qualities and strategic vision made this transition logical, according to sidde, who noted YEKINDAR already handled CT-side calls on those maps.
Regarding FalleN's replacement, FURIA is weighing two scenarios: recruiting an established captain while YEKINDAR maintains his current hybrid role, or signing a skilled rifler and promoting YEKINDAR to full-time IGL. "We don't have a preference for which one to go with," sidde explained, acknowledging that negotiations and market availability will determine their path.
When asked about speculation surrounding Danil "molodoy" Golubenko and YEKINDAR potentially leaving, sidde remained philosophical. His approach focuses on proving through victories that FURIA remains a championship-caliber project worth staying for.
Looking ahead to BLAST Porto, the coach set clear expectations: reach the playoffs and, most importantly, correct the communication breakdowns that plagued their EWC run. Despite limited preparation time, sidde believes the necessary fixes require dialogue and consensus rather than extensive practice.
