The North American roster Shimmer battled their way into the grand final of Rainhas do Clutch 2026, defeating Brazilian opponents Atrix in the semifinal stage. The LAN event, taking place in Rio, saw approximately a month pass since Shimmer's qualification through their victory over FlyQuest RED.
With their semifinal triumph, Shimmer have locked in a minimum prize of around $5,962 USD. Should they claim the championship title, they stand to pocket approximately $18,655.
The opening map Ancient, chosen by Shimmer, saw Atrix establish an early 3-1 advantage. Despite Shimmer fighting back, the Brazilian side held a 7-5 edge at halftime. Atrix dominated the second half after securing the pistol round, claiming the map with a convincing 13-6 scoreline.
On Atrix's selection of Dust2, the Brazilians again jumped ahead 3-0. This time, Shimmer responded emphatically, winning eight of the following nine rounds to build an 8-4 cushion. Atrix captured their fourth consecutive pistol and surged to an 11-9 lead, but Shimmer demonstrated excellent composure in crucial moments, ultimately prevailing 13-11.
The decisive Mirage saw Atrix continue their pistol dominance with a fifth straight win. Trading rounds throughout the first half, Shimmer held a narrow 7-5 lead at the break. Finally breaking Atrix's pistol streak, Shimmer executed a strong terrorist side to close out the series with a 13-8 victory.
Shimmer await the victor of Friday's clash between Clutchain fe and MIBR fe, with the grand final scheduled for 01:30 PM.
