Sezgin 'Fabre' Kalaycı Makes Comeback to Eternal Fire as Head Coach

September 11, 20261 min read

Eternal Fire has officially welcomed back Sezgin 'Fabre' Kalaycı as their head coach, filling the position left vacant by Yiğit 'yT' Özden's recent departure.

Fabre's connection with Eternal Fire runs deep, having guided their Turkish lineup from 2022 through early 2025. His tenure with the organization ended in April 2025 when the entire roster transitioned to Aurora, with Fabre following suit.

During his coaching career, Fabre led his teams to two impressive Major playoff runs. The first came at PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen under the Eternal Fire banner, where the squad advanced to the quarterfinals. The second achievement was even more significant, as Aurora reached the semi-finals at the IEM Cologne Major.

The returning coach will reunite with two familiar faces: Samet 'jottAAA' Köklü and Caner 'soulfly' Kesici, both players he previously coached at Aurora. However, this stint presents a new challenge for Fabre, as he will work with his first-ever English-speaking roster.

The revamped Eternal Fire squad, currently sitting at No. 67 in the VRS rankings, features soulfly and jottAAA alongside Gareth 'MisteM' Ries, Iulian 'regali' Harjău, and Vladyslav 'Kvem' Korol.
