PGL has officially disclosed the list of invited teams for the closed qualifiers of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, a tournament offering $1,250,000 in prize money and taking place October 24-31.
Following the announcement of direct invitations to the main event, where top-tier teams confirmed participation with the exception of Falcons, the organizer has now unveiled which squads will compete for the remaining slots through the qualification system.
The qualification process begins with open qualifiers running September 3-6. These will distribute four available positions across European, South American, and North American regions, while Asian and Oceanic territories will each receive two spots.
Closed qualifiers are scheduled for September 9-12 across Europe and the Americas. The Asian and Oceanic regional stages will take place September 9-10, culminating in a final APAC qualifier on September 13.
Each of the four regional closed qualifiers—Europe, North America, South America, and APAC—will produce one team earning direct entry to the Romanian tournament.
For the European qualifier, participants include GamerLegion, SINNERS, ECSTATIC, Insilio, and three open qualifier winners. The South American bracket features BESTIA, paiN, RED Canids, and Legacy.
North America's closed qualifier will host Party Astronauts, Nouns, Wildcard, and three teams from open qualifiers. The Oceanic region includes FlyQuest, LFO 8, and two open qualifier victors, while East Asia features TYLOO, 5star, and two open qualifier representatives.
