Meanwhile, tournament favorites SportsBetExpert, LAG, and Marsborne maintained their perfect records at 2-0, while Without a Roof sits at an even 1-1.
On Inferno, Mason "Pr0mise" Maher dominated NuTorious with his AWP, racking up 31 eliminations. The match saw both sides secure seven rounds on their respective CT halves, forcing overtime. Pr0mise delivered consecutive triple kills during extended play, helping Beyond Limits string together three straight rounds and seal a 16-13 victory.
Axial proved they're a legitimate threat after pushing SportsBetExpert to overtime in Round 1, this time securing a win against Chicken Coop. The underdogs built a commanding 9-3 halftime advantage with seven consecutive attacking rounds. Despite Jared "jared" Habib's multiple multi-kill performances helping Chicken Coop mount a comeback, Axial held firm to close out the match 13-10.
Other Round 2 results included LAG defeating DETONATE 16-12, SportsBetExpert crushing For Fun 13-5, and Marsborne dominating Without a Roof 13-4.
Round 3 will feature best-of-three matchups between 2-0 teams Marsborne versus LAG and SportsBetExpert versus Iowa Stormboar, while 0-2 teams Chicken Coop and Villainous, along with regain and NuTorious, battle for survival in elimination matches.
