The first stage of NSTLGA League Season 2 has come to a close after four weeks of intense competition. From the 56 teams that started in the Sapphire and Ruby Conferences, only eight have survived to advance.
These eight teams will now compete against the top eight seeded VRS teams in Stage 2. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on September 9th.
Among the teams that successfully fought through Stage 1 is Without a Roof, featuring Jacky 'Jake' "Stewie2K" Yip. The pre-seeded squads include LAG and SportsBetExpert, who were the champions and runners-up respectively at FRAG Midwest: St. Louis. Unfortunately for EMPIRE and Zomblers, their run ended during the Stage 1 tiebreakers.
The $10,000 tournament's Stage 2 will kick off with exciting matchups. SportsBetExpert faces Axial, while Chicken Coop takes on For Fun. Marsborne meets FarmVille, and LAG goes up against Beyond Limits. Other battles include regain versus Without a Roof, NuTorious against DETONATE, Villainous facing Wanted Goons, and Iowa Stormboar squaring off with Overtake Sector.
With the competition heating up and playoffs on the horizon, these remaining teams will need to bring their best performances to secure their spots in the final stage.
