MOUZ have advanced to the grand final of BLAST Bounty Season 2 after defeating Astralis 2-1, continuing their impressive run with their revamped roster. They will face Spirit in the championship match.
Despite securing the victory, MOUZ showed concerning signs of inconsistency throughout the series, repeatedly giving away advantageous positions. Most notably, they nearly collapsed from a dominant 12-2 lead on Dust2, with Astralis clawing back before MOUZ barely held on.
Astralis started strong on Ancient, racing to a 5-0 lead on the T-side after winning the pistol round. MOUZ struggled to capitalize on multiple opportunities throughout the map. Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard proved instrumental for Astralis, delivering clutch performances including an ace in the final round to seal the map.
Mirage saw MOUZ burst out of the gates with a 6-1 advantage on offense. Love "phzy" Smidebrant responded with an ace using a saved AWP, sparking Astralis' comeback to tie the half at 6-6. However, MOUZ regained composure in the second half, with Adrian "xelex" Vincze leading the charge through crucial plays that forced a third map.
On Dust2, Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás and xelex dominated the first half, building a 10-2 cushion. MOUZ extended to 12-2 before squandering a 4v2 advantage that opened the door for an Astralis resurgence. Oldřich "PR" Nový and Lotan "Spinx" Giladi struggled defending the B bombsite under pressure, but Astralis' comeback ultimately fell short as MOUZ closed out the series.
