MOUZ claimed victory in the Group B seeding match against Falcons with a 2-1 scoreline, punching their ticket to the BLAST Open Porto semi-finals. Falcons will enter the playoffs from the quarter-finals stage when the action moves from BLAST's Copenhagen studios to Porto's Super Bock Arena on Friday.
The series opened with Falcons delivering a commanding performance on Nuke, MOUZ's map selection. The squad snapped MOUZ's impressive seven-map winning streak on the venue thanks to an exceptional defensive display where all five players performed at their peak.
However, Falcons' choice to play Ancient backfired spectacularly. Their struggles on this map persisted after previous defeats to Lynn Vision and Legacy at the same event. MOUZ effectively neutralized Falcons' Mid pushes repeatedly, with no Falcons player stepping forward to generate necessary pressure or openings. This tactical dominance allowed Dorian "xertioN" Berman's squad to secure a quick victory.
The final map, Inferno, followed a similar pattern. Beginning on the CT side again, MOUZ repeatedly exploited Nikola "NiKo" Kovač's difficulties in Banana with precise utility usage and well-timed Car retakes. Meanwhile, Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás consistently thwarted Falcons' attempts to establish control in Mid and Brackets areas. Oldřich "PR" Nový delivered the knockout blow by stopping Falcons' desperate Middle push during the second-half pistol round, as MOUZ cruised to a 13-3 finish.
