The esports organization Monte has publicly addressed serious financial allegations made by their former player Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras. The Lithuanian rifler recently went public with claims that he was owed tens of thousands of dollars from his time with the team.
Bymas stated that Monte failed to pay him sticker money and tournament prize earnings dating back to 2025. These accusations surfaced shortly after footage emerged of Monte's CEO making critical comments about Bymas and other players who departed for Luminosity.
Monte wasted no time firing back. Their initial response carried a sarcastic tone, dismissing the payment delay claims as "incredibly critical and painful." The organization engaged in heated exchanges across social media, actively defending their position against the accusations.
In a follow-up statement, Monte attempted to provide clarity on the financial dispute while also apologizing for their choice of words, attributing the harsh language to "the heat of emotion." The organization emphasized their commitment to transparency and communication.
Monte firmly denied any wrongdoing, stating: "We have always been open and kept communication open and have never ignored anyone. We therefore state once again that we have paid all player salaries in full and have never acted in violation of the terms of the contracts."
Regarding the contentious sticker money issue specifically, Monte claimed that none of their former players or their representatives have reached out to discuss payment. The organization maintains that no contact has been initiated regarding sticker revenue distribution.
