MongolZ have punched their ticket to the BLAST Bounty LAN finals in Malta after sweeping Wildcard 2-0 in an impressive showing with their revamped roster.
The Mongolian squad made their competitive debut featuring two fresh additions to the team, and wasted no time proving their worth on the server. Young prodigy Zolbayar "tikuak" Chimedtseren delivered a stellar individual performance that propelled his team to victory on the opening map, while the entire roster came together on Inferno to close out the series.
On Dust2, MongolZ stormed ahead to a commanding 6-1 advantage after claiming a crucial force-buy round on their CT side. tikuak was instrumental in building this lead, shutting down multiple A site pushes with clinical precision. Wildcard mounted a late comeback in the first half to keep things competitive, even managing to win the CT pistol round and level the scoreline. However, once MongolZ established their economy, they rolled through the opposition with minimal resistance, tikuak continuing his dominant display throughout.
The second map on Inferno proved to be a more contested affair. Both squads traded rounds in a tightly-fought battle, frequently converting eco and force-buy situations as the scoreline remained deadlocked at 9-9. MongolZ elevated their game when it mattered most, executing sharp crossfires and coordinated plays to pull away in the final rounds. The victory secures their place at the LAN stage of what marks their first tournament of the season.
