This disappointing finish came after NRG's promising start with an impressive win over MOUZ, ultimately placing them 5th-6th at the event.
The series opened on Cache, NRG's map selection, where MIBR converted their CT pistol win into an early 4-0 advantage. NRG fought back with an impressive seven-round streak to take a 7-5 lead, but MIBR closed the gap before halftime. After securing the second pistol round, the Brazilian side capitalized on multiple man-advantage errors from NRG, running a perfect terrorist half to claim the map 13-7.
MIBR's Inferno pick saw them continue their dominant form, racing to a 9-0 lead before NRG managed their first round. Despite winning only five opening duels, MIBR established a commanding 10-2 halftime lead. They wasted no time closing out the map 13-2 after taking the pistol round, sealing the sweep.
With their elimination from StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026, NRG heads back to the United States for the iBUYPOWER Masters FML in Las Vegas. Their first match against Wildcard is scheduled for September 25th at 01:00 PM.
