Metizport Bring Back 17-Year-Old Swedish Talent MaiL09 to Active Roster

July 11, 20262 min read

Metizport have confirmed the return of 17-year-old Swedish talent Liam "MaiL09" Tügel to their active roster. The organization decided to utilize the young player themselves instead of pursuing loan or transfer options.

MaiL09 spent five months competing for Alliance on loan before rejoining Metizport's bench in mid-June. During that period, speculation grew that the Swedish prospect might make a jump to a top-tier organization.

Those rumors were effectively dismissed when Metizport Sports Director Morten "zEVES" Vollan informed Fragbite Editor-in-Chief Ludvig "Quacke" Nilsson that the team planned to bring MaiL09 back into the starting five.

The roster MaiL09 returns to looks vastly different from his previous stint. While Metizport was previously Swedish-oriented, the team now fields an international lineup under the leadership of experienced North American in-game leader Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz. This fresh environment offers MaiL09 a new beginning after challenges with the previous Swedish roster and an opportunity to develop under one of NA's most seasoned tacticians.

MaiL09 takes the spot previously held by Isak "isak" Fahlén, whose contract Metizport chose not to extend when it concluded on July 1st.

The new Metizport lineup features Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez, David "forsyy" Bílý, Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, Maciej "F1KU" Miklas, and Liam "MaiL09" Tügel, with Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak coaching. Nikola "Dragon" Bošković remains on the inactive roster.

MaiL09 will debut with his new teammates at the Stake Pulse Beat I LAN event on July 31st.
