Marsborne dominates ESEA Advanced S58 regular season with 12-1 record as 32 teams advance to playoffs

August 31, 20262 min read

The regular season of ESEA Advanced Season 58 has officially concluded, paving the way for an expanded playoff bracket featuring 32 teams. This marks an increase from the previous season's 24-team format, with all squads vying for one of four coveted spots in the ESEA Season 58 Finals.

The Finals will bring together four Advanced teams and twelve representatives from lower ESEA divisions to compete for a substantial $33,500 prize pool along with valuable VRS points.

This season witnessed exceptional participation from top North American squads, likely due to the scarcity of competitive tournaments in the region following the IEM Cologne Major. Prominent organizations including Marsborne, LAG, and SportsBetExpert brought high-caliber competition to the Advanced division.

Marsborne secured the number one playoff seed with an impressive 13-1 record throughout the regular season. Their only defeat came at the hands of Club 333, making their campaign nearly flawless.

Close behind in the standings are LAG with a 12-1 record, while both SportsBetExpert and Zomblers finished at 11-3. Additional competitive rosters advancing to playoffs include Chicken Coop, NuTorious, Overtake Sector, EMPIRE, and Villainous.

Several recognized teams fell short of playoff qualification, including NorthForge who finished 7-7, Shimmer at 6-8, and regain with a 5-9 record.

The ESEA Advanced Season 58 playoff action is scheduled to kick off on September 2nd, promising intense competition as 32 teams battle for championship glory and Finals qualification.
