Wanted Goons are searching for a fresh in-game leader following the departure of Kevin 'Magic' Simpson, who has left the roster after personal commitments outside of Counter-Strike made it impossible to continue. Coach and general manager Ian 'Fraq-KTR' Burr confirmed the news on social media, clarifying that the decision was entirely unrelated to team dynamics.
Magic will remain available as a substitute player whenever his schedule permits, according to Fraq-KTR. While Kyle 'relt' Kurczek had already been filling in for Magic in recent matches, the announcement officially closes the chapter on Simpson's impressive run with the organization.
Simpson joined Wanted Goons in January 2025 alongside Jacob 'febreeze' Lee, Dylan 'killerPandas' Pellegrino, and Johan 'Johan' Delgado. This quartet remained together throughout his entire tenure, forming one of North America's most consistent lineups.
The squad consistently reached playoffs in every ESEA Advanced season starting from season 52. Most recently, they finished with an 8-6 record before falling to Olympus in the 9th-12th place bracket. The team also performed well at multiple FRAG events throughout 2026, securing top-eight finishes at FRAG York, FRAG TAP Reloaded, and FRAG St. Louis.
