M80 survive elimination with comeback victory against TYLOO

M80 have kept their ESL Pro League Season 24 campaign alive after battling back from a map down to defeat TYLOO in the elimination bracket. While the Asian squad exits the tournament with an 0-2 record, the North American roster now faces a difficult path ahead, needing two more victories without any slip-ups to reach the playoffs.

The series began on TYLOO's map selection of Mirage, where M80 established a 7-5 lead at halftime. However, Joshua "JBa" Barutt struggled significantly on the attacking side, failing to register a single elimination. TYLOO capitalized on this weakness and claimed the map 13-10.

Cache brought another competitive first half ending 7-5, but JBa rebounded dramatically with an outstanding 11-1 performance after the break. His resurgence gave M80 the opportunity to complete the comeback. German player Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich dominated across the board, leading most statistical categories as M80 secured the 13-7 win.

The deciding map of Anubis saw M80 sprint to a commanding 7-1 advantage before closing the half 9-3. TYLOO mounted a comeback attempt on their defensive side, but M80 held firm to finish 13-8. JBa topped the server with an impressive 1.60 rating, while slaxz concluded the series with 60 eliminations, cementing M80's survival in the tournament.
