M80's calculated decision to challenge NIP in BLAST Bounty Season 2 has not gone according to plan. The matchup that appeared favorable against a recently reorganized squad turned into a bitter defeat.
The battle kicked off on Inferno, M80's map selection. Despite dropping the opening pistol round, Joshua "JBa" Barutt delivered a stunning 1v3 clutch ace. Shortly after, Martin "stavn" Lund answered back with his own ace against M80's struggling economy. The teams traded blows evenly, heading into halftime at 6-6. NIP claimed the second pistol round, and although M80 briefly reclaimed momentum, NIP's terrorist side dominated with six consecutive rounds to close out the map 13-10.
Anaconda transitioned into the second battlefield. Michael "Swisher" Schmid provided the third ace of the series, this time wielding Dualies. Both squads exchanged momentum throughout the half, reaching another 6-6 deadlock at the break. After struggling on Inferno with a 7-14 showing, NIP's Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara stepped up alongside stavn to dominate the scoreboard. NIP sealed the deal with a 13-8 map victory, completing the 2-0 sweep and leaving M80 empty-handed without the fifteen-thousand-dollar bounty prize.
