Luminosity Gaming have made their first roster change following a rough start to their season, bringing in Swedish rifler Simon "yxngstxr" Boije to replace Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras, who has been benched after appearing in only five official matches.
The 21-year-old Swedish player became available after HEROIC placed him on the bench back in June, with his official departure from the Danish organization confirmed just yesterday. During his time away from competitive play, yxngstxr stayed active by standing in for EYEBALLERS and competing with the Raccoons mix-team alongside notable names like Cai "CYPHER" Watson and Pierre "Ex3rcice" Bulinge.
Luminosity's struggles have been evident since acquiring the core Monte roster without Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen, posting a winless 0-5 record under the leadership of in-game leader Lucas "lux" Meneghini. Alongside the yxngstxr signing, the organization has also announced Alexander "kakafu" Szymanczyk, previously with Monte, as their new head coach in hopes of reversing their fortunes.
The revamped Luminosity roster now features lux calling the shots, with Oscar "AZUWU" Bell, Aurélien "afro" Drapier, Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov, and the newly-signed yxngstxr rounding out the lineup. Fans can expect to see yxngstxr make his LAN debut with the team at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 on September 17th.
