North American organization Luminosity have made their first roster change in Counter-Strike 2, placing Aurimas Bymas Pipiras on the inactive list. The Lithuanian rifler's tenure with the team lasted just 54 days and included only five official matches tracked on HLTV.
The decision follows a devastating winless streak for Luminosity, who have dropped all five matches across two separate tournaments. The squad, originally acquired from Monte and led by Brazilian in-game leader Lucas lux Meneghini, has struggled to find their footing in competitive play.
This poor performance has had serious consequences for the team's global standing. Luminosity have plummeted from 23rd to 39th place in the Valve Regional Standings, putting their qualification hopes for the PGL Singapore Major in November at significant risk.
Bymas has experienced a notable decline in individual performance over the past three months. His rating dropped to 0.87 across 27 maps, a considerable fall from his 0.97 rating accumulated over 105 maps throughout 2026.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Bymas expressed gratitude for the opportunity while acknowledging his disappointment. He thanked the organization and his teammates, describing them as family and expressing genuine enjoyment of his time with the squad. The rifler also admitted frustration with his recent official match performances and committed to working hard to reach his potential.
The active Luminosity roster now consists of lux, Oscar AZUWU Bell, Aurélien afro Drapier, and Aleks Rainwaker Petrov. The organization faces pressure to find a suitable replacement before their upcoming LAN appearance at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 on September 17th.
