Liquid have punched their ticket to the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 finals, joining FaZe as the second qualified team for the LAN event scheduled in Malta from August 30 to July 2.
The North American squad, featuring recent additions Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and Georgi "Jorko" Mitev, delivered a statement performance by eliminating Vitality and G2 consecutively without conceding a map.
Jorko continued to impress in his second outing with the team, maintaining his stellar form after posting a 1.24 rating against Vitality. The Bulgarian sniper proved particularly troublesome for G2 on Mirage, where he partnered with Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski to constantly dismantle the opposition's setup with aggressive picks across the map.
Liquid's opening map on Anubis showcased their depth, with the entire roster contributing to a dominant victory despite losing both pistol rounds. The second map followed a similar pattern as G2 managed only 11 rounds across both maps.
G2's tournament run ended disappointingly following the addition of Artem "r1nkle" Moroz, who joined during the off-season to replace Álvaro "SunPayus" García. The Ukrainian player struggled throughout, finishing with a 0.91 rating at the bottom of his team's statistics. G2 managed to recover from a map deficit against Nemiga but offered little resistance in their elimination match against Liquid.
