Legacy have officially confirmed the acquisition of Argentine sniper Santino "try" Rigal from Imperial, following initial reports by Dust2.com.br from late June.
The transfer brings try back together with Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer and Bruno "latto" Rebelatto, his former teammates from 00NATION who competed together at the IEM Rio Major 2022.
The 21-year-old AWPer fills the vacancy left by Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco, who moved to Imperial as part of the exchange deal between the two organizations.
This acquisition finalizes Legacy's roster following a period of uncertainty. The team had previously explored options with Felipe "insani" Yuji and Tomas "tomaszin" Corna after Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira initially requested to step back following the IEM Cologne Major. However, insani committed to staying with MIBR through year-end, and discussions with tomaszin ended when n1ssim chose to return to active duty.
try arrives after spending several months with Passion UA, where he posted a 1.09 rating despite the team's numerous challenges before disbanding. Previously, during his year-and-a-half tenure with Imperial, he maintained an impressive 1.19 rating. He'll be looking to recapture that level of performance while returning to Portuguese communication.
His first appearance with Legacy will be at the Esports World Cup, scheduled for August 12-23.
