Legacy and BETBOOM have punched their tickets to the FISSURE Playground 3 semi-finals after winning their respective upper bracket finals in the group stage.
Legacy faced off against fellow Brazilian squad FURIA in an intense derby across Mirage and Ancient. Both maps opened with even 6-6 scorelines at the half, but Legacy proved stronger when it mattered. On FURIA's Mirage selection, the Andrei "arT" Piovezan-led roster dominated the terrorist side, while on Ancient they locked down the CT side without allowing their opponents to reach double digits on either map.
Bruno "latto" Rebelatto and Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira both posted impressive 1.30+ ratings, though the victory was a true team effort with all players contributing positively. Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer rounded out the performance with a solid 1.10 rating across the series.
MIBR had an opportunity to ensure two Brazilian-majority teams in the semi-finals, but BETBOOM had other plans. The series played out on Mirage and Anubis, with Linus "LNZ" Holtäng's squad initially struggling on their own Mirage pick. Despite taking a 7-5 lead on the attack, they collapsed after the side switch, winning only two of ten rounds as BETBOOM closed it out 13-9.
On Anubis, MIBR again built an early advantage on the T side with an 8-4 halftime lead. However, BETBOOM refused to go quietly, fighting back to force overtime before securing the map 16-14.
The playoffs will feature strong Brazilian representation, with half of the top six teams sporting Brazilian cores. MIBR and FURIA sit in opposite quarter-final brackets, Legacy awaits in one semi-final, and BETBOOM holds the other semi-final berth.
