JT on reuniting with EliGE: 'Honestly, it feels like old times'

July 29, 20262 min read

Team Liquid's recently appointed in-game leader Ioannis 'JT' Theodosiou opened up about his reunion with Jonathan 'EliGE' Jablonowski in a conversation with HLTV.

EliGE's journey took an unexpected turn early in 2025 when he departed Complexity for FaZe, only to circle back to Liquid—the organization where he competed from 2015 through 2023. JT's arrival at Liquid came shortly after, with his debut match delivering a shocking victory over Vitality. The 27-year-old captain praised all his new squadmates but reserved special commentary for his former Complexity partner.

'I think he's playing just as well as when he left Complexity,' JT noted, emphasizing the seamless nature of their renewed partnership. According to the IGL, EliGE thrives when given room to express himself vocally within a team structure, something JT is deliberately facilitating.

The numbers back up this synergy. Across their first two matches together against Vitality and G2, EliGE posted a 1.49 rating with a +30 kill-death differential over four maps. This marks a significant improvement from his 1.11 rating and +1 KD across seven maps at Cologne under previous leadership from Kamil 'siuhy' Szkaradek.

'It's a nice collaboration between the two of us, and it works out pretty well for him,' JT concluded, highlighting the natural chemistry that has quickly resurfaced between the duo.
