Liquid AWPer Georgi "Jorko" Mitev announced on social media that he has successfully obtained a ten-year visa for the United States. This milestone grants him access to American tournaments and team bootcamps through 2036, marking a significant career breakthrough.
The achievement holds special meaning for Jorko, whose career previously suffered from visa complications. In September 2025, Copenhagen Wolves benched him specifically due to visa-related problems, creating uncertainty about his future in competitive Counter-Strike.
With his new visa status secured, Jorko will compete at the iBUYPOWER Masters fl0m's Mythical LAN 2026 taking place in Las Vegas on September 25th. The $30,000 Americas tournament represents his first LAN appearance on US soil and his fourth overall event with Team Liquid.
The player credited Steve "jokasteve" Perino, Liquid's veteran manager, along with Erik "fl0m" Flom for their assistance throughout the visa application process. Fl0m likely provided documentation and testimony recognizing Jorko as a distinguished athlete, strengthening his case.
Adding to his travel flexibility, Jorko revealed he also acquired British citizenship within the past year. Combined with the UK passport's global strength and his new US visa, the Bulgarian player now enjoys significantly improved mobility for international competition with his current roster.
