Swedish esports organization Johnny Speeds have announced sweeping roster changes, placing Tim "nawwk" Jonasson, Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson, and coach Adam "friberg" Friberg on the bench. The move represents a dramatic restructuring of the squad, leaving just two players remaining on the active roster after Anton "Sapec" Palmgren's recent exit.
In their official statement, the organization expressed appreciation for the departing members: "There is only love for the boys. We fought hard and gave it everything, but the results haven't been there."
The decision follows a turbulent season marked by inconsistent performances. Despite some promising achievements early on, including a third-place finish at Parken Challenger Championship Season 2 and victory at NODWIN Clutch Series 6, the team struggled to maintain momentum.
These positive results briefly pushed Johnny Speeds near the top 50 in global VRS rankings. However, the remainder of the season saw wildly fluctuating form. While they managed a runner-up finish at ECL Season 51 Cup 3, disappointing performances plagued the roster, including a bottom-place exit at Tipsport Conquest of Prague and early elimination from NODWIN Clutch Series 8.
The persistent inconsistency prevented any meaningful climb in the rankings. The team concluded the season at 80th globally following a underwhelming performance at Svenska CS-Ligan 2026 Finals, prompting management to pursue a complete roster reconstruction.
