Johnny Speeds have confirmed a dramatic roster restructuring, moving Tim "nawwk" Jonasson, Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson, and coach Adam "friberg" Friberg to the bench. The trio joins William "draken" Sundin, who was already sidelined back in February.
The mass benching follows the recent exit of Anton "Sapec" Palmgren, leaving the Swedish organization with just two active roster members: Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso and Jacob "jocab" Nerheden.
Johnny Speeds struggled to find consistency throughout the first half of 2026. While they secured a third-place finish at Parken Challenger Championship Season 2 and claimed victory at NODWIN Clutch Series 6, their overall performance left much to be desired. The team finished 80th in global VRS rankings after disappointing results at Tipsport Conquest of Prague, NODWIN Clutch Series 8, and Svenska CS-Ligan 2026 Finals.
Addressing the changes on social media, Johnny Speeds showed respect for the departing players, stating that despite giving maximum effort and fighting hard, the desired results simply weren't materializing. The organization promised to announce further roster updates in the near future.
